We're going to play Manhunt!!

First: we've gotten some questions about our gift registry--we're really just so happy to have you at our wedding.  BUT, since there will be some people who want to give a gift, we do have an on-line registry http://patrickandmc.zankyou.com/us  (We're hoping to do a cross-country road trip for our honeymoon!) Thank you!!

Second: Mary Catherine's mother is planning on having a pre-party on Friday.   Everyone is invited but please let us know if you plan to come, since her mom needs to know how much food to make!  Here's the link: Friday Party RSVP (The deadline is next Monday!)

Now!  Onto the game!

Since our first date was a game of Manhunt (with the excellent Rachel Wade, Dan Wade, Becky Augustine and a passel of other friends), we're planning to play some rounds of Manhunt. All ages are invited to play, although since this game will include grown-ups, the tiniest ones may need a big person with them.  This game is entirely optional--if you'd rather sit back and enjoy a beer with good folks, or take a hike in the woods, go right ahead!  There will also be dancing (of course!)

How to play manhunt:

  • Split into two groups
  • One group hides while the other group hunts for that group.
  • The hiders must try to get back to their team's base before being caught by the hunters.
  • If you are a hider, and are tagged by a hunter, you join the hunter group.
  • How to win:
    • Hiding team wins if most of the people in that team make it to home base
    • Hunting team wins if most of the people in the hiding team are tagged

Other things to do (besides enjoying a drink, dancing, or playing Manhunt)

We also have walking trails on site (Ingalls also abuts a Land Trust preserve called "Butternut Hill"), and there is even access to the lake on the Land Trust side, so if you are brave/cold-hardy, you could even bring a bathing suit!

You can learn more about Butternut Hill here:  http://www.lclt.org/butternut-hill/

SO!  Bring not-so-nice clothes to wear so you can play and swim and explore!

Thanks for RSVPing!  We hope you can come!

Please RSVP by September 19

If you don't RSVP and still plan to come, you're absolutely welcome, but make sure you also bring a chair and a sandwich!  :)

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all!  However, we know that many of you would like to gift us with something more.  Thank you.

We've finally gotten our "gift" registry up.  It's an on-line platform for those of you who prefer to do things that way--otherwise, there's always the old-fashioned way. The link to the registry is here: http://patrickandmc.zankyou.com/us

We chose this particular registry because it charges US the credit card fees and not you.  If, for some reason, that turns out to have changed, PLEASE let us know--it is very important to us that you don't incur any fees.

We're hoping to take a cross-country trip with the dogs, and planning on visiting as many of you as possible along the way.  It's been a while since we've been able to get away from the house for an extended period, so we're really excited about this!

And for those of you who are interested--here's a photo of Camp Ingalls (The Venue).  We're hoping to have the ceremony outside, and then eat inside... if the weather cooperates, of course.

Okay, so, clearly, having the RSVPS ready in a month was somewhat optimistic

We're still hammering out the details of how the wedding will work--from food to music, to even dress code....although on the dress code side, we're leaning towards Mountain Man Formal.  :)  Yes, we know.  This does not exist.  Sooo, that gives you an idea of where we're at with planning.

Anyway, we're thinking hard about everything--looks like we're probably going to abandon the potluck theme--so many of you are coming from far away, and we really want people not to have to stress at all about our wedding.  So.  We're working on the food.

And, we'll send out RSVP information when we actually have a real idea of WHAT kind of event you're RSVPing to!

Happy Spring, everyone!

Welcome to our Wedding Page!

For those of you early-birds, we've provided information that people might want in order to get started: the date, time, location, and nearby lodging.

We'll put up the RSVP link in about a month.

The page should get fancier as time goes on, so keep checking back.

We are looking forward to having you at our wedding--we hope you can make it!
